I think God gave us colors for a reason, don’t you?

My daughter, Alaina, is a school teacher and earlier this summer I helped her paint two walls in her classroom. A previous teacher had painted one of the walls a bright yellow and the other a bright green. (It was a “The Hungry Caterpillar” theme.) Alaina chose a soft sage green color to replace them. Apparently, colors invoke a variety of feelings and emotions. Bright colors are more energy producing, while softer blues and greens are more peaceful and calming. It is interesting how different color palettes connect with our brains. Red helps with memory, yellow with attention, etc..
I am reminded of the old black and white television shows. For me, there is a sense of blandness as if they are missing something. There is no comparison to the HD and 4K technology of today. I believe we are meant to pay attention to the colors around us. We are all meant to live a vibrant life, where we step out of our patterns and routines. We put monotonous routines aside and pick up the beautiful colors of life like those of a flower garden in full bloom. When we step out of our fear, beauty awaits and God speaks.
Are you living your life in full color? If not, what would it take?
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Matthew 14: 30-32
