Facing any new beginnings?

I have a few family members that are going through new beginnings and it has me thinking about all the emotions that tend to go along with life change. Often there is anticipation, excitement, and joy with big changes. However, there is also fear, uncertainty, and maybe even some grieving over what is being given up to make room for the new. The mixed emotions can make you feel like you are on an emotional teeter totter.
If you are a parent to adult kids, changes for them tend to be changes for you too. An adult kid could be going to college, moving away, changing careers, getting married/divorced, or having children of their own. Any one of which can throw us into second-hand receivers of new beginnings. That makes it even more complicated to process.
Whether direct or indirect, we are guaranteed to face many new beginnings over our lifetimes. It can be nerve-wracking but when looked at it from a biblical perspective, the heaviness of all the emotions tends to subside.
The Lord carries us through the changes when we commit ourselves to Him. He is making us new in whatever stage of life we are in and through whatever big change we are facing. We are not alone. We can take the pressure off of ourselves and just do the best we can. We can leave all the worries and any insecurities aside. If we do our best and focus on working for the Lord, we don’t need to worry about our future. It is secure in the Lord and that's a great thing.
Have you ever had mixed emotions about a big life change for yourself or a loved one?
Do you tend to worry about the unknowns of life?
Is there anything you need to release to God?
Do you consider yourself a worker for the Lord?
Scripture
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? Isaiah 43:19
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3
