Is your memory shot too?

My memory is shot and I am blaming my cell phone.

Let’s be honest, we don’t have to hang on to ANY information in our minds anymore because it is all right there at our fingertips. Heck, I drove right by my house yesterday because I didn’t have on the GPS!
My dependence on my cell phone scares me - typically several times a day when I have misplaced it and get a mini panic attack. Perhaps you can relate.
I see this as an opportunity, a glass half full situation. An opportunity to determine what is worth remembering and focus on that. I can then let the less important stuff be stored in my cell phone.
My mind is weak and out of shape so it won't be easy. For me, I am tired of remembering 3 words of a scripture verse and then googling the rest. I want the Word of God to be with me at ALL times, stored not on my cell phone but in my heart. That's what I want to focus on and strengthen. I might accidently drive by my house a few times, but I will know where my heavenly home is and that’s definitely worth remembering!
Do you find it difficult to hold on to detailed information in your mind?
What does a healthy attachment to your cell phone look like to you?
Do you have any scripture verses you would love to commit to memory?
Scripture
"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 119:105
"Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against you." Psalm 119:11
